So How Much Money Can I Earn In My Home Business Teaching Music By Expanding It Using Mail Order?

You have taken the first step in your 3-part plan to build a beautiful home business for yourself doing what you love most – music – and specifically, teaching music. You have set up your own one-man or one-woman “music school” using the techniques mentioned in the previous section (Earn Money – Part One). You now have a good income flowing in, plus you have most of the day to develop your own music teaching vehicles – lessons, books, charts, CD’s, or whatever.

Mail Order – Expand Your Musical Talent To Reach Millions!

Once you have your private music teaching program going, you can then multiply yourself by a factor of X by producing your own music teaching materials and offering them by mail order all over the country and the world. So let’s see what you might do with your very first product. Let’s say that you have decided to record one of your lessons using a common cassette tape recorder. On that lesson you teach the student to get a particular guitar riff down cold, so they can use it again and again. In the space of an hour, you demonstrate that a beginner can come from nowhere to making a pretty decent sound just by mastering that one riff. You teach the riff on the cassette, but you also write it down on music paper so the student can refer to it in the future. You decide to turn that one hour tape recording into a CD, so you take it to a local digital transfer business and have them burn the CD from your cassette tape master. You also print 100 copies of the music paper with the riff on it, then package the CD and the paper sheet into some kind of container (might be a binder, or a box, or a professional CD package). You decide to price it at $39. plus shipping. So what happens now?

Your First Music Mail Order Product!

The first step is to name your product: Give it a jazzy name – something that will attract attention, such as “Lightning Guitar Riffs That Will Scorch Your Ears”, or some such. Then there are so many things you could do at this point that it boggles the mind. But let’s take just a couple simple steps: 1. You could write a short news release and send it to your local newspaper and also to the trade magazines in your field (in this case, guitar magazines). In the course I cover this step in detail, as I have gotten hundreds of news releases over the years worth thousands and thousands of dollars. 2. You could offer your product to mail order catalogs. They advertise your product for you, and you “drop-ship” to their customers. It’s a nifty deal for everyone, and again, I explain all that in detail and how to go about it in the course. There are MANY avenues for you to take to expose your product to the world via mail order, and in my course I show you how I did it and how others can do it too. So how much money can you make in mail order music? How high is the ceiling? It’s really up to you, but let me tease you a bit with some things that we have experienced over the years in our music business: Orders from mail order catalog houses in the 1000 to 5000 range for several of our music books, each retailing for $6.95. Orders from consumers for any of 500 of our books, cassettes, videos, charts, games, etc. ranging from $19.95 to $1300. Orders from libraries… Orders from schools… Orders from music stores… Orders from book stores… Orders as a result of free write-ups about our products in magazines and newspapers… You get the idea. And this is not a “flash in the pan” business….this started in 1965 and has gone on almost 40 years now… Go thou and do likewise! Why not you?
